• Annual PA Day at the Capitol – held in the first quarter of each calendar year. 
• Full-time lobbyist who monitors legislation that can impact PA interests and meets to legislators in Columbia regarding laws and regulations affecting PA practice in South Carolina.

Leadership

• The opportunity to serve on one of our committees as a member or chair, on the House of Delegates or on our SCAPA board and have direct impact on the issues that will continue to improve the way we practice in South Carolina.

Categories of Membership

Fellow Member – $175 – PA who is a member of both SCAPA and AAPA; has full voting privileges, can hold office and can serve as an AAPA delegate. Membership runs for one year from the date joined.

• First Year PA – $75 – Receive half off your membership for the first year following your graduation from PA school if you join within 6 months of graduation. You will be required to provide your PA program name and the month and year of graduation.
• 2 Year Membership – $325 – Receive a $25 discount when you renew for two years instead of one.  

Associate Member – $175 – PA who is a member of SCAPA but not AAPA; has limited voting privileges and cannot hold office or serve as an AAPA delegate. Membership runs for one year from the date joined.

Affiliate Member – $75– PA who is no longer in practice, PA who lives and practices outside of SC, or a friend of the PA profession; has no voting rights and cannot hold office or serve as an AAPA delegate. Membership runs for one year from the date joined. ***If you are an actively practicing PA in the state of SC, you should join as a Fellow or Associate member***

PA Student Member – $25 – PA student enrolled in an accredited PA program. Membership runs through the month in which you graduate.

ASPIRE Member – $50 ($25 renewal fee for subsequent year) – Individual who is interested in enrolling in a PA program. Membership runs for one year from the date joined. Learn more about the ASPIRE program and its benefits.
