Dr. Aljoeshon Walker is a clinician, educator, and researcher in the departments of neurology and ophthalmology at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in Charleston. With more than two decades on the MUSC faculty, Dr. Walker has made a lasting impact as a physician, mentor, and advocate for diversity in medicine.
He currently serves as the director of the MUSC Headache Program and has been the primary investigator or sub-investigator for numerous clinical studies. Previously, he led the memory loss clinic and the neuro-ophthalmology department, earning a reputation as both a dedicated educator and an inspiring role model. Earlier this year, MUSC honored Dr. Walker by renaming its student teaching award for excellence in neurology the Aljoeshon Walker, MD, Student Award for Excellence in Neurology.
At this year’s SCAPA CME Conference, Dr. Walker will present a session focused on headaches, a common medical concern encountered by healthcare providers.
